Garmin – Who are they?
Garmin is the first consumer and the GPS manufacturer has become almost synonymous with "GPS". Garmin began in 1989 and has a history of producing leading GPS products, and have sold millions of GPS receivers. They have a great range of GPS devices for automobiles.
Garmin StreetPilot c340 —
The Garmin StreetPilot C340 is in the middle of the C series. Thegreat advantage it has over the C330 has text to speech. Steet This means that instead of voices saying things like "100 meters, turn left" it "you say you turn left on Main." This can be very beneficial when driving on city streets and you do not want to look at the GPS screen to confirm, take the turn.
In addition, the C340 is equipped with an optional FM TMC receiver to be improved. This means that information real-time traffic can be sent to your StreetPilot to warn you to beaccidents, construction, or simply Rush-hour traffic. If possible, the C340 will bring you to this traffic, when a faster route can be established.
If you want to save some money, you can opt for the C330, if you do not mind not having the text-speak, still want the optional traffic receiver. Otherwise this is a good mix selection for function and price.
Garmin Nuvi 250 –
Garmin, the Nuvi 250, which is knownin the middle of the entry-level nuvi 200-series. The nüvi 250 is designed so that an extremely simple device, without many of the advanced options many people never use. I often have readers' responses to a particular device would be a good match for them, but the price was a little high, and they felt they had to pay for functions that do not really need them. The Garmin Nuvi 250 could have a perfect fit for them.
One change for Garmin200 series is that the flip-up antenna is apparently gone, replaced by an internal antenna. I’ve never been a fan for the flip-up antenna design so this is a welcome change.
Many of the PDA features in the rest of the Nuvi lineup have remained in the Nuvi 250 such as the world clock, calculator, unit converter, and the picture viewer. You can also load up Garmin’s additional paid content such as the Savers Guide and Travel Guide products.
The Garmin Nuvi 250 is equipped with a 3.5 inch screen, the standard for entry of GPS devices, but still offers enough screen for ease of navigation guaranteed. There is an SD card slot for loading of products and additional maps.
So, no Bluetooth, no traffic, no MP3 player, FM transmitter does not not display widescreen. However, most people can probably get by fine without these characteristics. But there is something you just want that does not existText-to-speech. You should get a promotion to the 300 series or nüvi 600 that function. If the text of Garmin, one to one speech, with the 250, this device would be sacrosanct in the category of entry level, but it would probably also cannibalized sales forecasts for the 300 series is always very People. And most are simply fine without text to speech.
